We perform load calculations using formulas based on the National Electric Code during our survey for precise generator sizing. 
The following table will get you close to the size of generator you will need. These tables are for budgeting purposes only!

Emergency Isolation Table - Powering only selected circuits from a homes Main Distribution Panel using a sub panel or a 
Transfer Switch/Load Center Combination. This table is based on the size of A/C that you are wanting to run.
